Super rare 80s vintage synth - EVOLUTION EVS-1 - good condition, FM synth! MIDI, digital rackmount in Brixton, Devon for sale

The EVS-1 is a 16 voice, multitimbral synthesiser module capable of playing up to 8 different synthesiser sounds simultaneously including the on-board PCM drum sounds. It is a very underrated beast, capable of unreal sounds. It will certainly rise in value as it becomes appreciated in the vintage synth market. To my knowledge this is the only unit currently for sale on Greatbritainlisted and Greatbritainlisted. The fundamental part of this synth is the 28 synthesis algorithms. This allows the EVS-1 to do 4-operator FM, 4-operator Phase Distortion, wavetable synthesis and various other algorithms adding waveshapers, feedback and other madness. It has 4 6-stage envelopes and easy access to the 100 presets on the unit itself! Lots of fun. The best part is the modulation matrix: you can assign almost any parameter to whatever you choose: 6-parts envelope (4 of them), modwheel, velocity, aftertouch, another controller you choose, LFO. This is what makes it so versatile. You can change even the waveform on the fly, making those super evolving textures.
